Data storage devices

From Metal Gear Wiki

This article is about a subject from outside Hideo Kojima's core "Metal Gear Saga." Its canonicity within the continuity is disputed, therefore reader discretion is advised.[?]

They come in various shapes and forms and can technically also apply to books, although modern usage is usually relegated to technologies such as solid state drives or jump drives.

Behind the scenes[edit]

Data Storage Devices are collectible items in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which will contribute to the 100% final game score. After procuring them, some exclusive artwork can be made viewable on the collectibles menu. 20 can be found in a single playthrough of the main game, and can be found in all chapters save for Chapter R-06, plus an additional 3 that are unlocked immediately after collecting all 20.

In the Jetstream DLC, there are also five additional Data Storage Devices that could be found throughout the DLC. Another additional five can be found in the Blade Wolf DLC.
